What do you need help with?
Support is available for a range of psychological experiences and behaviours that might be causing distress and disruption in your life.
Anxiety
One of the most common mental health challenges, affecting nearly 30% of adults at some point in their lives.
Anxiety is a normal and adaptive emotion until it becomes overactive, persistent, out-of-proportion and starts to interfere significantly with daily life.
“My anxiety feels like a tidal wave crashing over me, stealing my breath and making me feel like I’m drowning.”
Depression
Like a heavy weight you carry all the time, draining your energy and making even the simplest things feel impossible.
“It’s like I’m constantly wearing a heavy, grey blanket and I can’t concentrate – my brain is stuck in a fog. I have no energy. Getting out of bed can feel like climbing a mountain.”
Addiction
Drugs. Alcohol. Gambling. Pornography.
It is a disease, not a moral failing, fundamentally altering the brain’s reward system, decision-making centres, and impulse control mechanisms.
“It starts with this craving and you try to satisfy it. You get a fleeting moment of relief… but then overwhelming guilt, shame, and despair. You promise yourself it’ll never happen again, but the cycle repeats, trapping you deeper each time.”
Grief
The natural emotional response to loss. It can be triggered by death, but also by the ending of relationships, loss of health, or significant life changes.
“Grief changes you. The person you were before a significant loss is not the same person you become. It reshapes how you see the world.”
Trauma
Trauma happens in the past but continues to shape the present, seeping into our thoughts, emotions, relationships, and how we experience the world.
“Even on good days, it’s there… like a shadow at the corner of my eye. Always a reminder.”
Relationships
We are social beings. Positive relationships contribute to our overall health and well-being. Relationship challenges can lead to isolation and mental and physical health problems.
“You don’t get to choose your family, but you can choose how long to hold a grudge. Sometimes forgiveness is less about them and more about freeing yourself.”
